Overview
Lilium Player is a desktop application for playing IPTV streams. We do not operate a content platform, streaming service, or user-facing backend. Our privacy surface is intentionally minimal — the app works primarily offline, storing all playlist and viewing data locally on your device.
What we collect
- Anonymous device identifierA one-way hash of your hardware identifiers, used solely to validate your license and enforce the "move license every 30 days" limit. It cannot be used to identify you personally and is never linked to any other data.
- Anonymous crash reportsIf the app crashes, a sanitised report is sent containing the exception type, a stack trace, and the app version. No personal data, playlist URLs, or credentials are included. This can be disabled in Settings → Privacy.
- Purchase transaction dataWhen you buy a license, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) handles your payment details. We receive only a license key and your email address to send you a receipt. We do not store payment card data.
We do not provide playlists or content
Lilium Player is a player application only. We do not sell, supply, host, distribute, or recommend any IPTV playlists, channel streams, video-on-demand content, or Xtream Codes credentials. We have no affiliation with any IPTV provider.
To use Lilium Player you must bring your own Xtream Codes account credentials or M3U/M3U8 playlist URL, obtained independently from a provider you subscribe to. The legality of the content you access through those credentials is entirely between you and your provider — Lilium Player has no visibility into, and bears no responsibility for, the content delivered by third-party IPTV services.
Because we do not supply playlists, we also do not:
- Store or transmit your Xtream Codes server URL, username, or password — these stay on your device only
- Know which provider you use, which channels you watch, or what content you access
- Act as an intermediary or proxy for any stream — all stream traffic goes directly from your device to your provider's servers
- Receive any data about content playback, buffering, or errors that would identify what you are watching
What we do not collect
- What you watch, pause, rewind, download, or search for
- Your Xtream Codes credentials (username, password, server URL) or M3U playlist URLs
- Your IP address, location, or any network-level identifiers beyond those inherent to the license check request
- Your viewing history, watch progress, favorites, or folder structure
- Analytics, behavioral tracking, A/B test data, or ad-targeting profiles
Local storage
All playlist data, credentials, favorites, watch history, and Continue Watching state are stored in a local database on your device. Credentials (Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL) are encrypted using your operating system's secure storage (Windows DPAPI, macOS Keychain, Linux libsecret). This data never leaves your machine and is not accessible to us.
Downloads are saved to a folder of your choosing and are managed entirely by the app on-device.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. The only external services that receive any data are:
- Our license serverReceives your anonymous device ID to validate your license. Hosted in the EU. Data retained only as long as your license is active.
- Lemon Squeezy (payment processor)Handles payment transactions. Subject to their own privacy policy. We do not share usage or behavioral data with them.
- Crash reporting serviceReceives anonymised crash logs if you have not opted out. No personal data is included in these reports.
Your rights
You may request deletion of any data we hold about you (your device ID and email address if you purchased a license) at any time by emailing support@liliumplayer.app. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data under GDPR / UK GDPR. We honour these requests without charge.
Children
Lilium Player is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you via an in-app notice on next launch. Continued use of the app after the notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
